King's Place is the largest privately owned multi-use complex in Fredericton and was developed by The Hardman Group in the early 1970's. The Hardman Group oversaw a $6 million expansion in 1976 that involved the addition of 10,000 square feet of office space. Further re-development was undertaken in 1994 to incorporate a food court into the retail area, to renovate the building's exterior, and to upgrade the HVAC system on the office component.

In 2001, King's Place underwent a major renovation to add a 60,000 square foot CIBC Call Centre as well as the addition of 20,000 square feet of provincial office space. The project involved the relocation of several existing tenants on a very short time-line and was completed on-time and on-budget.
