Nova Scotia Power Corporation In 1988, the Hardman Group was asked by the Nova Scotia Power Corporation to negotiate on its behalf for a renewal of its long-term lease in Barrington Tower at Scotia Square in Halifax. The agreement involved a complete refitting of the 25-year old building. This two-year, $12 million project presented a unique challenge in that more than 600 employees had to be relocated within the project while allowing the company's daily operations to continue relatively uninterrupted. In 1989, the Nova Scotia
Power Corporation identified a requirement for a new computer centre.
The Hardman Group was retained to manage all aspects of the project.
Designed to house NSPC's central computing system, the 13,000 square
foot building has state of the art HVAC, electrical and communications
systems. The centre was completed in 1991 at a total cost of $5.4 million. For more information,
