In 1986, The Hardman Group was retained by Blue Cross Atlantic and Bruncor Inc. to act as developer of a new signature building in downtown Moncton. This 260,000 square foot building, with 100 underground and 300 surface parking stalls, is a good example of a total development project, in that the Hardman Group was responsible for each of its stages including:

• Co-ordinating the land assembly
• Demolishing any existing structure
• Retaining the design team
• Overseeing the construction
• Leasing the completed office and retail space
• Continuing on as asset manager

Completed in 1988, this building has set the standard for first-class office space in downtown Moncton. Equipped with state-of-the-art HVAC, backup power, and communication systems, the building’s total cost was $32 million.
